History and Plot
In 2006, different animation companies came together and created Darren's Adventures which followed the story of Darren Weathers who was made The Chosen One and was destined to defeat the forces of darkness. 4 years later, the story switched to Darren's son, Drake, who was the true chosen and his father was the dark villain. Then in 2011, the show was remade and was called Journey of Heroes, then after 6 seasons became Hero Chronicles which has become one of the greatest anime series of the year. After the series finale, the series continued to skyrocket in popularity after releasing several games and movies. 2013 was the begining of the new year for Hero Chronicles. DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and several other anime studios came together to create Hero Chronicles: The New 52 which is a reborn version of the original series that is based on DC's New 52 comic series and newer Marvel series. Originally the series was intended to only have 52 episodes just as the name says, but after 13 episode's the popularity of this new show grew as high as the original series.
